About me...

I’m an experienced guest speaker who has performed his hilarious presentations to clubs and societies throughout the South East as well as appearing in his own shows at The Edinburgh and Brighton Fringes.

About my Talks...

My presentations are extremely funny and conjure up heaps of memories of life in those magnificent decades, the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
My presentations which can last between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on your needs, are funny and expertly structured.
There are many opportunities for audience input too. The presentations are light hearted and entertaining.
I stand alone, use very little equipment, (which I provide myself), and only require access to a three pin plug socket.
I will require access to the venue at least fifteen minutes before start time.

The Baby Boomer Nostalgia Show Part 1

The Baby Boomer Nostalgia Show is an amusing celebration of being born between 1946 and 1964. Memories of the 1950s, 60s and 70s are dredged up in this hilarious reminiscence. It explores what shaped and inspired a whole generation which, according to Prime Minister Harold Macmillan, “never had it so good’. You’ll laugh at the old days and be in stitches at modern times. This show is packed with funny memories and is a perfect antidote for clubs and societies that are fed up with modernity and want to wallow in a good old bit of nostalgia.
You don’t have to be a Baby Boomer to enjoy this as it’s fun for all ages. It stands alone from The Baby Boomer Nostalgia Show Part 2. (see below)
The show features comedy, audience participation, magic and some audio reminders of the time.

The Baby Boomer Nostalgia Show Part 2

The Baby Boomer Nostalgia Show became so popular I was asked by so many groups to do a follow up and this is it. It follows on from Part 1.
Parts 1 and 2 can each stand alone so you don’t have to have both.

Beyond The Baby Boomer Nostalgia Show

The final part of The Baby Boomer trilogy. A veritable hostess trolley of even more comical trivia and nonsense from yesteryear..

The Life and Times of Max Miller

The premier variety performer of the 1930s, 40s and 50s is dramatically brought back to life in this fascinatingly funny biography of The Cheeky Chappie.

Testimonials & Reviews

‘Alan gave part 1 of his talk about “The Baby Boomer Nostalgia Show” to Reading East Probus Club yesterday and it was hilarious. The audience was, of course, of an age for which the “baby boomer” years held a special place in their memories and Alan’s stories often had them in stitches. That encouraged audience participation which only added to the fun. A thoroughly enjoyable 50 mins or so. In due course we shall arrange to hear part 2.’

‘ Alan came to the Monkton Garden Club recently. We normally have a talk about gardens or garden related subjects. I promised our group that this talk would be something different and it certainly was! In a very short time the room was full of laughter and song. We’ve rebooked him for next year and I can’t wait.’
