About The Speaker...

As a professional speaker, I am passionate about helping professionals bring their whole selves to work and achieve their best through speaking about diversity, inclusion, authenticity, and allyship.
The presentations i deliver to corporate organisations, colleges, and secondary schools, provide practical insights on intersectionality, equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, and allyship from a lived experience perspective.
These multimedia 45-minute PowerPoint including Q&A feature real-life examples of microaggressions, and practical tips for allyship in the workplace.
My clients include industry giants such as Disney, Ofgem, Kaplan, NHS, Nationwide, Barnsley College and JP Morgan, among others.

In addition to my speaking engagements, I have developed a structured creative wellbeing workshop that helps professionals recognize signs of stress to avoid burnout. The 60-minute virtual and/or in-person wellbeing workshop focuses on exploring suitable self-care practices which helps to reduce staff sickness absence and increase overall productivity.

My debut poetry collection, CHARRED, published by Team Angelica in 2020, was shortlisted for the Polari First Book Prize in 2021.
I was also shortlisted for a National Diversity Award for Positive LGBT Role Model in 2020 and became a trustee of Action Breaks Silence, a charity focused on ending violence against women and girls, in 2021.
As a member of the Professional Speakers Association (PSA) and a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts (RSA), I strive to inspire and empower others to speak and write their truth.

The participants are encouraged through various writing prompts to explore some simple and effective ways to understand and manage their own self-care to maintain good wellbeing in a welcoming, supportive and inclusive space.
Essentially self-care is mostly about taking care of yourself in order to have enough in your cup to pour into others.
Many of us struggle for various reasons to grasp the idea of self-care not being selfish.
If you would like to learn more about how to manage everyday stress, how to achieve more balance in your life or how to take care of yourself with more resilience and confidence, then this is the workshop for you.
Materials provided.
No writing experience necessary.

ABOUT THE POETRY READING

Andreena Leeanne has overcome many challenges in her 42 years and continues to inspire others who have experienced life’s challenges to keep pushing forward.
During intimate and highly engaging poetry readings she courageously shares her lived experiences by reading poems from her debut poetry collection CHARRED which was published by Team Angelica in 2020 and shortlisted for a Polari First Book Prize in 2021.
As the book covers many themes such as relationships, family, friendships, love, betrayal, homelessness and optimism, Andreena welcomes the audience to participate by asking questions in between the poems which will direct her to know which poems to read next.
