About me...

I started playing guitar at the age of 13 and formed a group with friends at School. I have maintained my interest in playing guitar and have performed with a variety of bands right up to the present day. I am a Music Industry professional having spent my working career in the music equipment sector, so expect some quality name dropping during the talk!

About my Talk...

The Semi-Pro Sixties Talk lasts approximately 50 minutes plus time for questions but can be tailored to your requirements. All equipment i.e. laptop/projector/screen/sound system can be supplied as needed.
I can give my talk as a virtual presentation (zoom)

Fee:

The starting fee is £50. Travel up to 10 miles from Haverhill Suffolk is free. After that there will be a charge of 40p per mile for the round trip.
I am happy to travel to Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire & London however, if the venue is further afield, please contact me to discuss.

The Semi-Pro Sixties

The Semi-Pro Sixties is a talk based on my book of the same name. Covering a period from 1961 to 1976 I take my audience back to the time when budding musicians were forming groups and starting to play gigs in Youth Clubs, Pubs and Clubs. There’s plenty of laughs as I tell stories of the life and times of a semi professional musician setting out on the road for the first time. Drawing on my interviews with over fifty different musicians there are experiences from the outright funny to the downright dangerous!
