About The Speaker...
Robert is a writer, public speaker and independent researcher. After two decades spent in the corporate world as a management accountant, he left to study for a Master’s Degree in Western Esotericism. He followed this with a PhD in Religious Studies which explores the interplay between Science, Religion, Philosophy and the Paranormal in the late nineteenth century. By investigating early paranormal theories and psychical researchers, he has developed a new typology of the Paranormal Domain. This has proved useful both for scholars of the Victorian period and commentators on contemporary parapsychology and psychical research.
Robert has had a lifelong interest in ghosts, UFOs and psychical phenomena and now writes about and presents talks on a variety of topics related to each of them. He has been a Council Member of the Ghost Club (1862) since 2018 and is a member of the Society for Psychical Research.
About Their Talks...
My focus is on Paranormal topics, especially the interplay between unusual phenomena, science, religion and philosophy. I have presented talks on my various research interests to international organisations such as The Ghost Club (1862), The Last Tuesday Society and the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena (ASSAP), both online and in person. I have also spoken to local societies including The London Dowsers, the Enfield National Trust Association and the University of the Third Age (U3A).
Fee:
My fees range from £50 to £100+, depending on the size of the organisation and the number of attendees. I will charge at the lower end for charities and local groups. I would expect travel expenses in addition to the basic fee.
