I am a fitness professional living in and serving South East London who specialises in strength and resistance training. Having worked as a senior leader in the charity sector for over six years, my career has been dedicated to helping people grow and develop, and supporting time-poor leaders to achieve ambitious goals and programme outcomes. I am an experienced public speaker and workshop leader.

I am a huge advocate of balance and sustainability, and I think ultimately, balance equals health. Health, diet and fitness myths are sadly still rife, particularly with social media. I have made it my mission to educate people on these and show my clients that getting (and staying) fit and healthy never needs to include fad diets, restriction or unsustainable habits. I enjoy sharing knowledge on fitness, proper nutrition, strength training and the overwhelming benefits of this and the importance of good sleep.

Through a determined approach to education and self-learning, I have been through my own journey of fat loss, weightlifting and overall health and fitness development. I have sustainably lost over 10kg, I can now lift over two times my own bodyweight, I run half marathons in under 2 hours and I have gradually moved to a more hybrid and functional style of fitness.

I have transitioned from being fairly sedentary to loving movement and exercise for what it is and how it makes me feel, and I am dedicating my career to helping others live a happier and healthier life by achieve this feeling, too.

About Their Talks...

I am very experienced in public speaking, delivering presentations, facilitation and workshops. My talks can be tailored to your needs, but I do have some that are ‘ready to go’, so I can provide these more last minute should you need. I ensure my sessions are interactive, upbeat and relaxed (I have a natural, conversational feel, as opposed to a scripted talk with purposely added dramatic pauses etc.!) My talks are designed to be packed with facts, stats, studies and useful take aways that people can really implement. Most are stand alone.

What custom talks can look like: one of my most recent existing talks required a little personalisation, including some wake-up movements mid way through as well as getting everyone up to do a mini exercise session! I brought along some pieces of gym equipment for demos. They then requested a follow-up talk which was completely customised, as they requested even more depth on the topics from my first talk, going into detail on things like stress which required time and extra research from me ahead of time.

My talks suit all types of clubs, companies, societies, charities and events, as the insights I provide are useful to everyone! I’ll always tailor the tone and sometimes the content of the talk depending on the audience age/gender etc.

I do need a projector, but I will bring a clicker, the presentation and my laptop (or you can provide a laptop). I can send my PowerPoint/Google Slides to you for your staff/members after the talk. My talks are 45 – 60 minutes including Q&A.

Fee:

Fees will vary slightly depending on whether you book me for an existing talk, or whether you’re requesting personalisation.
An existing talk (like those listed) is £100, excluding travel fees (time & mileage at 50ppm/public transport).

Online talks are £80 but of course do not have travel expenses.

I live in South East London, close to the Kent boarder. Around Norwich is also an area that works well for me to do talks in. I am however happy to travel with good notice. Just get in touch and we can discuss!

Practical ways to achieve better sleep for optimal health and wellbeing

How to help your club members or employees be the healthiest version of themselves… through sleep alone.

Did you know, a study found that when dieters were sleep-deprived, they lost significantly less fat (55% less!) compared to when they had adequate sleep, even though they were on the same calorie-restricted diet. Additionally, the lack of sleep led to the loss of lean muscle mass, which is essential for long-term fat burning and metabolism.

This is ground-breaking in making people acknowledge the importance of good sleep. A report from Public Health England indicated that around 40% of people in the UK do not get enough sleep, defined as less than 7 hours per night for adults.
